He'll not be too scarred, and his hair will grow back if it was shaved off by the vet so that he could treat the infection. Or, where the skin was removed, there will be a thin little scar where the vet repaired the skin. Hair will grow just fine on either side of the scar and it won't be all that noticeable. Being so young, the puppy's chances are good for excellent healing.

If the hair fell out because of the infection, you'll have to wait and see. In the meantime, make sure your dog is kept out of strong sunlight because he could get sunburned on the bare patch.

As for the slobbing-yes, it's the meds. They are relaxing his muscles and causing him to drool.

Anyway, do keep in touch with your vet; phone calls are free. I hope things turn out alright for your puppy. Let us know the diagnosis when you choose the best answer. Good luck.
Reply:Sorry to say,he's hair may not grow back...if he is slobbing it maybe the medication causing this...to be sure that the medications is causing slobbing call your vet to make sure his medication isn't to strong for him...
