Can sunburn cause internal skin infection?

my skin is burned from the sun when i tanned about 6-7 days ago. i didn't put on any sunscreen b\c i didn't think people with olive complexion can get burned. My stomach is getting better and my chest is fine although it's peeling a bit BUT my legs is still red. IT's not peeling but feels itchy and is still sensitive to warm water or touch.

Is it possible to recieve bacterial infection from sunburn?

Can sunburn cause internal skin infection?
Yes, it is possible you could have an infection. If you get sunburn and it blisters or you scratch it, you are more likely to develop one, but neither of those things are necessary. From what you said, it is possible that the skin of your legs is infected. If you have a fever or notice any pus or streaking around the burnt area, I would go to your doctor and tell him/her what you told us - you should probably get some antibiotic cream to be on the safe side.
Reply:Possible, better seek medical help.
Reply:NO, IF THERE IS NO BREAK IN THE LINING OF THE SKIN. Yes, if there is a break.
