Bacterial Skin Infection?

I was diagnosed with a bacterial skin infection about 2 or 3 weeks ago, prescribed and took antibiotics and it cleared up. It has now reappeared on my knee and is extremely painful. Can anyone recommend a natural remedy as I am 22 weeks pregnant and don't want to take medication if I don't have to.

No but if it came back you might try some athletes food medication on it as that will remove the fungus just as well as anything the doctor gives.

Reply:It depends on what kind of bacteria it is. If it is mrsa, or staph, then it is very serious and you need to see your doctor - especially because you are pregnant. Tell them that you are uncomfortable taking antibiotics. They can clean out the bacteria without giving you oral medication. I have had mrsa skin infections, or abscesses, but I have to admit it was very painful to have it cleaned out. The good thing was that I did not have any more pain and it went away after it was done. But because my doctor didn't know much about it he didn't tell me that mrsa lives in your nose, on the surface of your skin - where oral antibiotics can't even get to it. You transfer it to your skin, surfaces of your house and other people through touch (you touch or scratch your nose, then touch something else). If this is what you have (and it sounds like it, honestly) then you need an antibiotic ointment that you put in your nose with a Q tip. It never gets into your bloodstream, so it won't even get to the baby. It is very important that you get rid of it completely before the baby is born - it can kill an infant.
