Skin Infection turned into acne?

I've had a skin infection which started on my back and spread to my shoulders and chest (small pimples with whiteheads), I took a course of antibiotics which dried many of them out but have been left with acne - so the doctor tells me. Has anyone else been left with acne after a skin infection? How do I get rid or it?

Skin Infection turned into acne?
There are different types of acne, don't be frightened by the word, you are probably thinking of acne rosatia which is the more severe. Acne in GP speak is just widespread spots, so don't worry, they will clear up with the mildest of spot treatments and you won't be left with scars.
Reply:Go to the docs and ask him for a topical lotion, its an antibiotic that you apply twice a day and it works very well. Don't come off it until your skin has stayed clear for a while and you've spoken to the doc.

Acne is not anything other than an overreaction to hormones, nothing to do with dirt. What you describe happened first is a type of acne in itself, you need to use the lotion to get rid of the rest.

Good luck, I know its miserable to have, you can get rid though!
